This has been a game changer after using the boppy and pillow to breastfeed. Its the perfect fit, adjustable, doesn’t slide, you can use it for several breastfeeding positions, mostly hands free. Would recommend 10/10
I used the Boppy pillow with my firstborn and loved it, but always complained about my baby sliding too much or needing to adjust as he wiggled or I moved a bit. This pillow solved my problems and gave me the extra support I was looking for as well! I no longer need to find a pillow to go behind my bad and I feel well supported. I loved the extra feature of a small pocket in the front and the adjustable straps to loosen or tighten the pillow closer to you. Only problem I have with it right now is the color choice I made. I feel like it stains easily. Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase!
I panic bought this postpartum and it was absolutely worth it. I have two normal boppies, and they just were not comfortable breast-feeding. As soon as I got this, it made a world of a difference for me and helped ease the soreness of my arms from holding my newborn. Highly recommend!
The lactation consultant in the hospital told me to get this and I’m sooo glad I did. I’ve actually purchased two - one for at home, and one for in the car so I have it anywhere I go. I basically live in this pillow. My 3 month old takes boobie naps with this pillow as support. I’m also able to lay the baby for nursing and gave my plate of food in it so I can eat too! It’s comfortable, plus size, and c-section friendly. I have recommended this to all my mama friends too. Seriously worth the money. All breastfeeding mamas NEED this pillow!
I work from home and just went "back to work" I was so nervous about how I was going to be able to continue to breastfeed and work because I need my hands and positioning for us is pretty particular but this thing is a gift from the gods. I am able to set it up, wrap a blanket around her and put it behind my back on both sides (think like a wrap) and boom. She secure for now (I'm sure it changes as she gets more mobile) and this thing is not coming off me! It works with our particular positioning for latch and as a plus size girly, it totally fits my waist! I was so stoked!! I think this thing is so genius I would pay way more money for it. Get it. Get it. Get it. I cannot say it enough!!! I'm sad this is the first time I've gotten this. This is my 3rd kid. lol
I decided to get this for my second baby based on recommendations from friends and overall I have been really happy with it! Definitely superior to the Bobby in my opinion. The material is more like a foam which is nice because it better supports the baby to help with breastfeeding. It also is adjustable and can buckle around your body which is nice to help keep the pillow in place and helps with back support for mom. It has a little pocket attachment to the front where I guess you could keep chap stick or nipple cream but honestly I havent used it for anything. My favorite part is on the top of the pillow there are two bumps which have been great to help delicate babys head and support their neck while feeding so that you can be more hands off! As a large chested lady this is nice since Im already trying to make sure I dont suffocate the babe while feeding ??.I wouldnt say this is a need, I definitely still just grab a random pillow when need, but this has been nice to have and would go for it if you are interested!
I found this product works well for breastfeeding a baby, the design was thought out very well. I hate the fabric though, everything sticks to it and I was hoping it would be a more smooth, soft fabric. The adjustable buckle is nice since you're body is adjusting after having the baby. The most important thing to me was that I felt like my child was safe while using this and it met that goal. After many uses and my toddler playing with it, the product has held up well and kept it's shape.the pocket on the side has been convenient for holding the remote or my snacks. The versatility of the My Breast Friend has been great for feeding on your left or right side. The company offers a wide variety of patterns and cute designs.
I am currently breastfeeding my second child. I breastfed my first for a little over a year. I have researched a lot of nursing pillows since that was what I was going to be spending a lot of my time doing. For my first child I decided to go with the Gia Nursing Pillow because I read that the boppy pillows didn’t provide enough support and that babies sink in the pillow easily, causing you to hunch over, etc. I liked that it was designed by lactation consultants and there was a raised side, and of course because of the low price! Once I used it for a while, I didn’t like having to switch it every single time I switched sides, and I found that my baby sunk in the pillow just as much as she would on a boppy pillow. I also didn’t use a cover for it since it was machine washable, and my wedding ring was constantly snagging the stitching all over the pillow. So now, it is being used to prop my baby up, although it’s trickier than a boppy pillow since both sides aren’t the same. With my second child I wanted to invest more into breastfeeding supplies, since that is something very important to me, so why not make it easier on the mom? :) I researched pillows again when I was pregnant to see what other options were out there. I was interested in the Kushies pillow, since it was foam, the baby wouldn’t sink, and I wouldn’t have to switch sides every time. I was weary that it wasn’t machine washable, wasn’t waterproof, and honestly there wasn’t a cover that I loved. If it’s going to be sitting on my couch, and I’m going to be looking at it all the time, I wanted to love it! My husband suggested I get the Brest Friend pillow because of the back support. That was pretty much the deciding factor. I was weary again because the pillow itself wasn’t machine washable, and all the reviewers were saying it was a pain to wrap around you and buckle while your baby was waiting to eat. After using it for almost a month now, I am so glad I bought it! I took the advice of some reviewers and immediately used the plastic packaging as a “waterproof” layer under my soft cover before I even used it. This way I wouldn’t have to worry about a gross foam pillow underneath, since I plan to use this for a while! Placing the plastic packaging underneath does make it a little crinkly, but it’s very minimal compared to knowing your pillow will be protected and clean for your baby. I only really notice the “crinkle” as I’m buckling it around my stomach. My baby sits high (I do the cradle hold), doesn’t move, the material of the cover is really nice and soft, and the raised head supports are a nice touch! Now the only thing that would make this better would be if I had a nursing stool -- but crossing my legs does the trick. Buckling it while your baby is hungry is not that big of a deal--it only takes 5 seconds, and you’re ready to go. I’m thankful for the back support it provides! I haven’t used the pocket yet. I kind of wish it wasn’t there because I don’t use it, but I’m sure it’s helpful for those who use nipple cream, or want to keep something small in there. Looks wise, I don’t really care for it. But again, not that big of a deal when you look at the positives!I had a lot of trouble breastfeeding my first and sought help from a lactation consultant. She was highly against all nursing pillows, claiming none give you the best position your baby needs for the perfect latch. I can totally see where she is coming from. She used waterproof pillows that you use in the hospital after delivery, and would fold them in half, push and shove them until they gave me the best support. I did like using those, and they probably do give you better support and positioning than any “nursing pillow” out there, but I like that every time I buckle the Brest Friend pillow around my waist, I am going to have the same results without any “pushing or shoving”. Quick and easy--very important for me while I’m taking the pillow off and on, off and on, all day long! I hope this is helpful for all you moms out there! Breastfeeding is hard work, and even harder if you don’t have the right tools and support. Let me know if you have any questions…I would love to help!
Great Product
Originally, I had gotten the Boppy nursing pillow, but the edges were too rounded, the opening was too small, and it constantly shifted as I was trying to nurse. I havent used it since the hospital. But THIS, is everything that the Boppy is not - Its flat, it has an adjustable opening, and it stays snuggly in place, PLUS it has lumbar support. This pillow gets you set up like a TV dinner tray for baby to feast lol and I LOVE it! ??
So helpful for breastfeeding !!
This is by far one of the best postpartum items Ive ever purchased. It has an adjustable clip which makes the fit custom and comfortable. I chose the beige color and I think its great. It is the perfect firmness to keep the baby safe and even has padding on it where babys head should rest comfortably. It has provided so much support and relief for my back while nursing and feeding the baby. I would 100% recommend this to any parent!
THE best nursing pillow especially if you are having some difficulty with nursing! I tried few before this one but this one was recommended by my midwife and lactation specialists and made such a huge difference. Great support for baby so that you can focus on helping with the latch. Easy to wash. Soft. Truly a game changer
THIS! I should have gotten this pillow with my first and second born! Let me tell you this pillow is a life savor. I have to do the football hold when breastfeeding, and this pillow makes it so much more easier, its also wonderfully adjustable to fit around my waste, comfortable and the fabric is soft. It supports my baby so well, its sturdy, I have no doubts when Im holding him to me on this pillow. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that's looking for a decent nursing pillow.
Tried the boppy & momcozy pillow and ultimately bought this one and I’m SO GLAD I DID!!! 10000/10!
pretty helpful for breastfeeding, especially for newborns
Finally able to breastfed without the back pain. I love it.
I love this so much! So helpful especially after C section. I’d recommend this to anyone breastfeeding. Better than boppy
Love everything about this pillow. The back support is so nice and the buckle helps it stay in place so youre not worrying about the pillow sliding around. Its so easy to use and portable to bring it room to room or on the go.
Must buy product for every new mom.it saves your back. It’s firm, durable and perfect in shape. It’s lil bit expensive though but i am using it at least 10times a day.carried it everywhere-domestic and international trips.
It's useful but I was expecting the fabric to feel a little different, feels a little rough for my kid and a little difficult to wash. Other than that it does the job.
“GAME CHANGER”! My daughter-in-law is nursing our 4 day old grandbaby. The Boppy pillow continually wound up on the floor, adding to the frustration of a brand new nursing situation, and all that entails. If you know, you know. I quickly hopped on Amazon to order this pillow for her. She loves it, for its ability to stay in place. She’s not continually trying to reposition the pillow during all the movement of mom and newborn learning to feed. I’m thrilled that we found a pillow that is helpful in elevating the baby to the height she needs to be, rather than causing a problem. When you’re a brand new, severely sleep deprived parent, you’re seeking all the things to bring calm and comfort. This pillow is helpful!
I wasn't sure about getting this at first, but now I'd strongly recommend this nursing pillow. It's soft and comfortable, but firm enough to hold your baby. The back pillow pad has been WONDERFUL. You can adjust it to fit you as well without much of a problem. Again, if you aren't sure if buying this brand of nursing pillow, just look at the reviews. It's very much worth it!
Love it, tried boppy first but it was horrible and kept slipping. Love that you can harness this around you to stabilize
Loved this one better than the boppy. Really good for the first month but I didn’t really use it beyond that. Husband uses it now for when he plays video games lol
