I'm so happy I tried out this nursing pillow by My Brest Friend. I have used the Boppy in my past nursing experience and it never seemed to work great for me. This pillow has a little more support to me without being bulky. The pillow and over are great quality and even with washing it a few times due to spit up and milk stains, it's held up well. The strap in the back is adjustable for women of all sizes as well.
These pillows are a game changer for moms with infants - breast or bottle fed babies snuggle securely in the soft pillow and keep Mom (or Dad) in a comfortable position allowing baby to doze after feeding and the buckle is sturdy enough that you can stand up and (with a hand on the child obviously) rock the infant or grab an item across the room and baby stays snug and secure. The back piece of the pillow that goes behind the back isn’t noticeable when you are sitting on a chair or a couch.Because if the removable machine washable cover, the utility for bottle fed and breast fed babies, this feeding pillow is excellent for any newborn. At the time of reviewing this pillow is a great value.
There are a wide variety of nursing pillows out there and my wife said this one is decent but it all depends on a lot of factors. For example, are you using it on a reclining sofa? Are you breastfeeding or bottle feeding? Do you lean back while you use it?In her case it has a few pros and a few cons. The very flat design is just OK, she tends to find our son wobbles a bit while in it and doesn't rest on it since the shape doesn't really cradle him. She doesn't love the back latch but it's also not very thick unlike other ones out there. The foam is not too thick and tall where the baby ends up resting too high and it's not too firm either where it feels rock hard while in use. Overall as he got bigger he tended to sink more into it and find a comfortable position. It's decent, but you may also prefer one more "pillowy" depending on your needs.depending on a lot of factors.
I just had my 3rd baby three weeks ago. With my first two (twins), I had a My Brest Friend and LOVED it. I used it a long time and then eventually passed it on to another mom. It’s a few years later and I just had my 3rd baby and bought a very popular different brand of pillow that also starts with B. It was trash, never worked, baby rolled around on it, too tall and it was way too small around for this tall and curvy queen. Truly I hate that pillow, and I think it stunted my breastfeeding journey so far. All that to say… a few days ago when I saw THIS pillow come available on the vine program I snatched it up! I received it within a day and started using it straight out of the box. I absolutely LOVE it. It’s the perfect height for breastfeeding. The cover is like a slick vinyl so it doesn’t absorb milk spills, and the print is super cute and neutral enough for either gender. It’s comfortable and the support pillow is nice on my lower back. It’s firm and I think my baby falls asleep less on this pillow. Also the biggest pro for me is that I’m plus sized and tall - nearly 6 ft and 248 lbs, and the strap fits around me and clicks securely. The other brand could never.If you need a TL;DR: don’t bother with any other brand of nursing pillow, THIS is the one you want!
This is a great pillow to help with breast-feeding. It is nice and sturdy to hold my little one. The buckle and fits are good for me even though I am tall/size 14. Very functional- makes a shelf like space to hold up baby “. I am impressed with the design, should work until baby is about five months. I can takeoff the cover and wash it if needed. overall a great Quality product which is a good value.
I love it. I think it’s something you definitely need with younger babies. Mommy twins are almost six weeks old and they fit perfectly (individually). It’s nice and firm too.
Love this breastfeeding pillow! It's a great shape that provides back support for you & baby, while being light! The foam is solid & sturdy, holds baby up really well. Once you start using it you won't stop because it's a simple step to make nursing a lot easier, especially early on. It perfectly supports baby so they're comfortable & can nap right after nursing! The strap is easy to adjust to your waist, which is great for a mom's changing postpartum body. It's very easy to remove the cover & throw it in the wash. Best part of this is how breathable the fabric is, it will keep baby nice & cool in summer.
I like this cushion. I have breastfed four babies and I always used a boppy pillow, because that's what was gifted to me. But, this one has some features that bring it above the boppy. It straps behind your back to keep the pillow from sliding out from under your baby. It's quite a bit wider than a boppy, it holds my 25lb 9 month old with no problems, and he has room to wiggle around. The strap is long enough to fit my husband who is quite a bit wider than me. The green flower print is nice and neutral, works for boys and girls. The fabric is satin, that helps with spills. The zipper has a latch to keep it from unzipping. It's sturdy and soft, I was worried the part that goes behind your back would be annoying, but it isn't. My favorite part is that I can stand up with it, walk across the room, and sit back down with the pillow still in place. 9/10. Docking one point because there are a LOT of loose threads all over, and that is a pretty extreme QC issue.
Nursing pillow is great if you’re on the smaller side. When I was fresh out of the hospital and swollen I didn’t feel like it was comfortable but now that I’m 6 weeks pp it’s a lot more comfortable to wear. It has a zipper to remove the cover if needs to be washed.
This is my second "breast friend" pillow. I have both the deluxe and the basic! The only reason this has 4 stars, is because it isnt the deluxe. This cover comes out and is easy to wash if you tend to leak, letdown, or spray. The wasitband/clip is adjustable and can be used with many different sized women and babies. Worth the price. Not as bulbous as the boppy pillow so it's much easier to lay the baby in different positions for feeding

I had the boppy pillow and I put it away as soon as my best friend nursing arrived. I felt a huge difference between using a boppy pillow and this pillow. I was having challenges with breastfeeding especially getting a good latched and using this nursing pillow it allowed me to quickly overcome those challenges that I had.I can't fully say this pillow resolved all my breastfeeding issues because it didn't of course but it provided a steady and frim support that my baby needed and my aching back needed. Although, I was more successful on getting a good latch when using this pillow due to the fact it provided so much support for both of us me and baby and allowed me to just focus on getting a good latch.Especially as they get older they eat more stay latched longer and they move alot, their was just no way I was going to survive with the boppy the design is just not there. My baby moves alot even as a newborn and he would push boppy out of place and away from my tummy and would create a pocket between the pillow and my tummy.I would definitely recommend this to any moms not just first time moms we all need that good functional breastfeeding pillow to support our backs, provide streadiness and firm especially for rough days !!My only issue with this pillow is that when you buckle the pillow together using it after a while the side where it buckles gets tucked underneath and you have to push it up so its in between the buckle. Other than that this is 10 times pillow than the boppy pillow.However, comparing this pillow My Best Friend BASIC Nursing pillow and My Best Friend DULEX Nursing pillow I would say My Best Friend Dulex Nursing pillow is 10 times wroth it than the boppy and this pillow together. It provided a lot more support for back and your baby and alot more comfortable. I'd say spend those 10 or 12 extra dollars on getting the my best friend Dulex Nursing pillow its worth it and a better investment especially your wanting to continue to expand your family. Don't be like me that went back buy the deluxe nursing pillow because I was trying not spend a lot and ended spending more than I wanted to. So to save you the trouble get The My Best Friend DULEX Nursing pillow.
I love the color and the pattern of this particular pillow. I always liked My Breast Friend but never liked their design. But now I have a nursing pillow that is ergonomic and helps keep my baby stable while feeding, and it is easy to make it stay in place. I think Boppy is a good nursing pillow if your baby is already seasoned but for newborn, I thought this pillow was better. I think my lactation consultant was using the same pillow too and it made the latching easier
I had high hopes for this because of the different way it was made instead of the usual crescent shape. The size of the top is fine, but it did not reach all around me to buckle. The foam interior is not a comfortable quality, it feels more like kitchen sponge like texture. Since the inner material is strange and there isn't a ridge or anything on the edge, I am not sold on the ease of use. I felt like I was working harder to cradle. The nice thing is it is not overally bulky because it is flat and slim and looks to be a durable product. Another upside is it wasn't shipped vacuum sealed, so no fighting with it to puff up before using. I am sure it will work great for a lot of people, but it was a miss for me.
Absolutely a must-have for breastfeeding moms!! I purchased this because this brand is well known for being high quality and it is! The cushion is sturdy and the clasp is easy to use to get around my waist. At the hospital, the lactation nurse showed me the proper techniques to get a good latch and I was able to do the same techniques at home while using this pillow. The design is cute but the pillow itself is where the gold is. Being able to wash the cover is also super nice!
Nursing can be difficult enough in the beginning so having a pillow that at least make mommy and baby more comfortable is a win! It’s a well-made and well-thought-out pillow and I love that the outer cover is machine washable. It seems like they took into consideration mommy and baby when designing this.
The pillow itself is great for nursing. It’s very sturdy and provides great back support. This one in particular doesn’t feel like great quality because of the cover. When it came it had seams already coming apart which is disappointing. And the cover is kind of flimsy too. The directions also say that it should have a pocket but it doesn’t. However ergonomically the pillow is perfect, and this I believe is one of the cheaper versions of it. Still very excited to use it especially because my son feeds better when side lying and this mimics that
This is a great nursing pillow with just about every feature you need. It is comfortable, functional, and easy to clean. The pillow has a firm, flat surface which supports the newborn and prevents airway compromise. There is an adjustable strap that goes around the breastfeeding parent which provides security so the pillow stays in place. It comes with a completely removable and machine washable cover, so clean-up is a breeze. Overall, this is much more supportive than using just pillows or soft teardrop shape nursing pillows.
Very comfortable! Plus size mama friendly, I use it DAILY ! Easy to wash and the size is pretty good!
I inherited a bunch of Boopy pillows and hated them, this one is much better. The snap to secure it and more shelf like aspect for laying baby across is great. Definitely recommend.
