Second time purchase of this nursing pillow!For my first pregnancy I had a boppy and the Brest friend. I had a c-section and found the Brest friend to be way more supportive in keeping baby off of my incision!There are some changes between the 2024 version and 2026 version. Most notably the plastic liner has been removed but the cover now has a water proof lining. Personally I wish they kept the waterproof plastic liner as an additional backup to protect the foam from getting wet, but I think the cover upgrade is awesome.Con is that the pillow shipped with the back partially folded in which distorted the foam. It took 2 weeks to regain its shape but finally feels like it’s structurally the same as my OG pillow.I needed to buy a replacement for my OG pillow because the foam ended up tearing where the back rest connects to the front platform. Was hoping to see some additional reinforcement in that area to help reduce the strain, but it does not appear to be any different.When this arrive the foam on the back support
This is a must have item if you're breastfeeding! Great support for your back and is very comfortable for both mom and baby. I love the softness of the fabric too.
I went back-and-forth for a while about whether or not this was something I actually needed. I had actually been gifted one as a hand me down several months before I gave birth and I ended up passing it along to someone else because I didn’t think I would like it and I also didn’t think it was aesthetically pleasing (lol). Fast forward to having a three week old and always trying to find the best arrangement of pillows to support my posture and my arms, I ended up going down a rabbit hole of TikTok’s, trying to figure out the easiest way to get comfortable, especially since I will be staying at home alone, and won’t have the family support that I currently do. As soon as this thing arrived, I realized it was a total game changer. I really like to sit crisscross on the couch, and this pillow provides perfect support so that I can be upright and hold my daughter super comfortably. It also makes nighttime feedings so much easier and I feel much more aware and awake when using it. I highly recommend this pillow and wish I had it from the start!
It’s amazing. It help me with my baby. The support is amazing and to have the little pillow in the back is amazing now I don’t have anymore back pain. The pillow is enough hard for my baby feel comfortable and I can adjust to my body which is great.
I purchased the "gold" super deluxe. I loved using my regular deluxe grey one previously for ebf several kiddos. I ended up gifting it along to a family member after our last baby. Now expecting again, I purchased this similar one which is slightly thicker than the regular deluxe. I like that this one has a waterproof plastic cover over the middle portion where babies generally spit up, making it easier to protect the foam from milk seeping through. The color is more of a cantaloupe yellow versus dandelion yellow that is shown in the picture. Not a big deal to me but some people may be big on color coordination. Between this and the organic cotton one that I ordered, I will be keeping this one bc it actually has less of a chemical smell straight out of the package. Also, not sure why some people say these covers are difficult to take off and on to wash. You just have to unzip carefully and compress the foam as you zip. I've never had a problem. I also prefer the softer texture of the polyester. I am generally a very natural fabric kind of person, but when it comes to these, I feel like the polyester is softer against the skin. As for temperature regulation, when the weather gets hotter, I like to use a light cotton burp cloth, like a muslin one, laid across the top to both protect from spit up and have a little more sweat absorption for baby and my body and I only use it for feeds and then take baby off. The bumps on the top can be awkward at first until you figure out how to position your arms and baby's head and body and then I think it feels more stable than I ever felt with a regular pillow or boppy (look at their site or the picture it comes with for proper positioning). It takes some personal adjustments but once you get the hang of it, it's a very supportive pillow.
It made my breastfeeding journey so much better and easier. It helped support my big baby and made getting comfortable quick and easy. I used it with my lactation specialist and ordered it on the way home. I would bring this with me wherever I went in the beginning. Washed it many times and it has held up great. One of my most recommended and used baby item, especially it the first 6 months.
This is the best nursing pillow that we use for my granddaughter. We have several of the other brands but this one is top of the line. Would highly recommend for any newborn.
This pillow is a game changer! I’m a taller woman with a long torso and needed a pillow that would bring baby closer to breast without having to hunch. This is a tremendous help!Before this I was using the Boppy which felt awkward and my baby kept slipping through the slope between the pillow and my body. This is more comfortable for both me and baby. It’s flat, so is more like a small mattress for her to lay on. It’s great for nursing to sleep.My only one dislike is that the cover is cumbersome to put back on after removing to wash. But it’s such a small issue for how great this pillow is. Worth the price!
Must have for postpartum period! I’m a first time mom and this has been a back and arm life saver while in the postpartum period! Must buy!
This pillow is an absolute must if you plan to breastfeed! With my last baby I had a boppy and it was difficult to position the baby correctly but with this pillow it’s much much easier! Highly recommend!
This pillow saved my lower back. I have been using it since my baby was newborn, she is one year old and I still use daily for feeding. I took this pillow to 2 flights, one was international with 24h of duration. It was so worth taking it, served as a comfy bed for my one year old.

OMG. This is hands down the best nursing pillow. I tried the Boppy and hated the shape and the fact that my baby always fell into the hole inside due to it not being close enough to my body. I’m a bigger girl, and the straps allowed my baby to be at the perfect position without any gaps. It’s durable, soft, and firm enough to withstand a growing baby. You can move it to also use in football position. BUTTTT- LEAVE the Velcro alone and in place once you first fit it to your body. Otherwise the Velcro will wear down FAST. There’s no need to keep removing it, as there is a buckle that can be undone. This will make your pillow last longer. I found out the hard way, but thankfully My Breast Friend is very responsive and sent me a replacement cover that fit perfectly.
Wow I love this pillow so much I could shout it from the rooftop. This was a god send when starting my breastfeeding journey. I love the firmness of the pillow, the shape retention helps keep your baby in place unlike bed pillows desperately bunched up. It’s not too heavy, and it adjusts to fit around your waist perfectly so I can walk around with it if I need to. I much prefer this over and other pillow due to the firmness. I tried this out at the hospital with a lactation specialist before buying. 10000% worth the money.
This pillow helped so much. I went back and forth with getting this one or the Boppy. I love the back support, how it stays in place with the strap, and the pocket is an added bonus! Truly made my life so much easier. It’s been my favorite pillow ever.
This nursing pillow has made nursing, and having a velcro baby, more comfortable! Its firmness keeps baby in position and close, the thickness is perfect to have baby at chest level without slouching, the back pillow makes a difference and the velcro buckle make it adjustable to fit however it needs to.
Love, love, love this pillow! Every time I’ve brought it to a lactation consultation, the specialists have commented on how much better this pillow is at keeping baby up and not falling in the cracks! And I couldn’t agree more! When I tried using the Boppee the hospital provided, I didn’t feel secure at all. The Brest Friend helps me feel very secure and has helped me and my baby take a few accidental naps in the rocking chair.The cover, while it can be a tad tricky to put back on, is super soft even after several washes.
The best thing i have purchased for breastfeeding I do not use anything else! My daughter curls up pn it after she eats. The material is soft and easy to wash. The foam is firm and keeps its shape.
Love it so far. Super helpful for cross cradle. And much easier and more comfy than multiple pillows.
This is only nursing pillow you’ll ever need! As a first time mom, this was an absolute game changer for me! Great quality and fit. Super easy to use and wash. Only improvement I would make is that I wish the strap you use to wrap it around your body was sown onto the pillow and not Velcro - regardless still very sturdy hold.
I searched far and wide for a plus size friendly nursing pillow. I’m usually a size 2x, 3x now with the bump. This fits my waist perfectly, even with a 36 week bump. I love the size and quality. Nice back support. Convenient little storage pouch in the front for a bottle or phone. I used a boppy 17 years ago with my first baby and it was awful. This is the best investment!!
The Brest Friend Pillow was recommended to me by my lactation consultant, and I’m so glad I listened. The support it provides is incredible. It has made breastfeeding so much easier and more comfortable for both me and my son. The firm foam keeps him perfectly positioned without sinking, which has helped reduce strain on my arms, shoulders, and back during longer nursing sessions.The cover is also a big plus. It’s very soft and comfortable against the skin, which matters a lot when you’re using it multiple times a day. Overall, the pillow feels thoughtfully designed and extremely supportive without being stiff or uncomfortable.My only downside is that it can make me feel a little warm while nursing, especially during longer sessions. On baby, and breastfeeding journey, number three and while having a determined baby is paramount to success, giving them a great base make all the difference. This was my #1 must have! My little loves this pillow. Great to travel with and make impromptu feedings in the car SO easy. Only suggestion to the maker- needs a strap to secure the baby, kind of like the ones on a changing pad, maybe? I can understand risks with having and not having one but night feedings can be scary in those early days and weeks, a strap could offer security but also great peice of mind.
My Brest Friend turned out to be a very comfortable nursing pillow. It fastens securely around the waist, doesn't slip, and maintains its shape, which keeps the baby stable and reduces strain on the arms. It also provides back support, which helps prevent slouching during feeding. The fabric is dense but soft, and the cover is removable and easy to wash. Overall, it significantly simplifies the breastfeeding process.
I found out about these at my lactation appointment and had to buy one asap! Sooooo much easier to use than a regular breastfeeding pillow! Was worth the money!
