How the fit works
My Brest Friend wraps around your waist, and the strap clips at the back. The Deluxe and Super Deluxe use a two-part strap: Velcro to adjust and a silent-release buckle to take it off quietly. The firm, flat foam keeps your baby level, and the built-in backrest supports your posture. The Super Deluxe adds extra padding.
Because the pillow wraps around you, waist size is what matters most. If the strap can't close comfortably, the pillow can't stay snug, and a snug fit is what keeps baby level and stops the pillow from shifting.
How to measure
- Use a soft measuring tape.
- Measure around your body where the pillow will sit, at your waist.
- Keep the tape snug but not tight, and breathe normally.
- Compare with the table above.
If you're still pregnant, your bump will change the number, and your body keeps changing in the weeks after birth. If you're close to the top of a range, get in touch before you order.
Which one suits you
- Waist up to about 44 inches (112 cm): any single pillow fits. Choose the Deluxe for everyday use, or the Super Deluxe if you want extra padding and a taller cushion.
- Waist about 44 to 46 inches (112 to 117 cm): the Twin or Plus Size models are the ones My Brest Friend lists for this range. They're also bigger overall (27 x 21 inches). We carry the Twin. Email info@adorling.com for current stock.
- Waist above about 46 inches (117 cm): My Brest Friend doesn't list a model for this size and doesn't make extender belts. We'd rather tell you that honestly than sell you a pillow that won't sit right. Talk to your lactation consultant about other feeding supports.
